Business advisory firm Deloitte today announced plans to commit up to £1.7 million to support and develop disability sports in the UK between now and 2012. Deloitte’s programme will improve how talented sports people at community level are identified and supported, with the aim of increasing participation levels in competitive sporting events. FWL is a manufacturer of carbon fibre precursor and speciality fibres from leasehold premises in Grimsby. Deloitte has once again risen up the graduate recruitment ranking by being named as the second most sought-after graduate employer in a ranking of the Top 100 Graduate Employers published today (14/09/06) by The Times. Deloitte, which was ranked in sixth place last year, has risen more places than any other company in the top 10, overtaking organisations such as Accenture, KPMG and the BBC to take the second-place slot. Jane Lodge, Deloitte’s UK Manufacturing Leader, is one of the UK manufacturing industry’s 50 most influential people according to a survey published by The Manufacturer Magazine. Lodge is one of only two women listed in the ranking, which includes industry leaders, academics, consultants and lobbyists.
