Brussels, 1 October 2008 – Deloitte, the largest professional service provider in Belgium, announced its financial results for the fiscal year 2008 today. FY08 was a particularly strong year for Deloitte Belgium with revenue growth at 15% taking net revenues to 308 mio €. Deloitte Belgium’s business units Accounting, AERS, Consulting and Tax have enjoyed major success and growth, strengthening their respective positions. From November 2005 till April 2006 Deloitte CFO Services investigated through a detailed benchmark study the functioning of the finance department. The study highlighted that both the CFO and his finance team are still spending quite some time and resources on the “finance basics” (accounting, controlling, etc.) and on improving those basics. Long viewed as little more than a cost of doing business, aftermarket parts and services, are in fact an untapped source of profits for many manufacturers.
