Today’s Everton game worth at least £10 million 23 August 2005 The second leg of the final qualifying round for the 2005/06 UEFA Champions League, played today and tomorrow, sees three Premiership clubs playing, in financial terms, the most financially important games of the season.

Dan Jones, Partner in the Sports Business Group at Deloitte, commented: “In addition to sporting glory, Everton are playing for a minimum of £10 million in Champions League monies – a combination of centrally distributed UEFA monies, match day and commercial revenue.”

Global Security Survey 2005 Findings 22 June 2005 Internal information security attacks are out-growing external attacks at the world’s largest financial institutions, according to the 2005 Global Security Survey released today by the Financial Services Industry practices of the member firms of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (DTT). Advocate General favours Marks & Spencer (M&S) claim for cross-border loss relief 07 April 2005 The Advocate General (AG) made a recommendation today (April 7th), to the European Court of Justice (ECJ) finding in favour of the taxpayer, in a case which has been watched closely by international business and Finance Ministers across Europe.

DELOITTE BACKS IRISH CRICKET IN WORLD CUP BID 09 March 2005 Deloitte, one of Ireland’s leading professional services firms, is backing the efforts of the Irish Cricket Team to qualify for the 2007 World Cup which will take place in the West Indies.  Ireland will be one of 16 countries attempting to land one of the qualifying spots at stake this coming July.  And the good news is the qualifying tournament is taking place in Ireland.
