Deloitte Rejects NZ Shareholder Association Claims 27 September 2006  

Deloitte NZ Chairman Nick Main totally rejected a series of claims made this week by Chairman of the NZ Shareholders Association, Bruce Sheppard.

Mr Main said his series of claims were completely false.

“Firstly, no Deloitte partner had ever been a member of the Feltex board,” Mr Main said.

“Director John Hagen retired from Deloitte in August 2005, well before his appointment to the Feltex Board.

Mr Sheppard commented about the auditor but did not name the firm. The implication was that the auditor may have been Deloitte.

Venture capital industry goes global 01 August 2006 Deloitte survey shows that more than half of venture capitalists around the world are looking to travel, lured by cost savings and diversification. Following this international trend, local funds also need to travel to maximise returns on their investments.

Professional Hackers and Organised Crime Target World's Largest Financial Institutions 19 July 2006 The world’s largest financial institutions experienced a surge in the number of security attacks over the past year, specifically from external sources. More than three-quarters (78%, up from 26% in 2005) of respondents confirmed a security breach from outside the organization and almost half (49%, up from 35% in 2005) experienced at least one internal breach. Deloitte the first to test New Zealand Wineries’ financial strength 02 June 2006 Deloitte, one of the Big four professional service firms, will for the first time  in New Zealand conduct a financial benchmarking survey of over 530 New Zealand wineries in a bid to help the local industry improve its financial performance as well as assess its true competitiveness against overseas markets.

Deloitte Makes Move to new Wellington Premises 21 October 2005 Big 4 Professional services firm Deloitte announced today its Wellington Office’s move to new premises in the capital’s CBD.

After 15 years in the Deloitte Building on Molesworth street, more than 200 people will be relocated to newly fitted out and redecorated offices in Wool House (to be renamed Deloitte House from 25 October 2005).
