Fastest Growing EMEA High-Tech Firms Identified 27 November 2007 Average growth rates highest since Fast 500 began in 2001, confidence high despite economic uncertainties

  • The UK has the most ranked companies with 81 of the 500, followed by France with 68.
  • Israeli firms take first, second and third place.
  • Average five-year revenue growth for all companies is 1443 percent, the highest since the awards began.
  • Survey of Fast 500 CEOs reveals that 79.5% of this year’s CEOs were extremely or very confident of managing the same growth rates over the coming two years.

Business tax not contrary to EU law 11 October 2007 Budapest, Hungary –  On 11 October 2007 the European Court of Justice ("ECJ") passed a decision in the lawsuit concerning local business tax ("LBT") that has been dragging on for years. In the meaning of today's ECJ decision LBT is not a forbidden turnover tax and its application is possible under Community law.

Broadcast revenues fuel record transfer spending 06 September 2007 Transfer spending by English clubs has exceeded £500m this summer, around two thirds higher than the previous record of £300m spent in summer 2006, according to analysis by the business advisory firm, Deloitte.
