Paris, 17 June 2009 — Despite a nominal increase in sales, the top 20 global aerospace and defense (A&D) companies experienced declining financial performance in the first quarter of 2009 compared to 2008. London, 4 May 2009 – A report produced quarterly by Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has found that revenue per available room (revPAR) in the Middle East region dropped by 12.9% to US$142 during Q1 2009, driven by a 9% fall in occupancy levels. London, 4 May 2009 – Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has confirmed that the hotel industry continued to suffer during the first quarter of 2009 with a sharp decline in leisure and corporate travel. UK cities overall experienced a decline in revenue per available room (revPAR) by an average of £5 (9%). Despite this, monthly declines were less extreme in March, down 5.2% when compared to a 10.8% drop year-to-February 2009.
