Mixed fortunes for European hoteliers June 16, 2008
London, June 16, 2008 – Year-to-April results from the STR Global HotelBenchmark™ Survey show that European hotels got off to a slow start in 2008, with revenue per available room (revPAR) up only 1.1% to €68. Analysis by Deloitte, the business advisory firm, shows that even though hotel performance in general is static there are still several success stories across the continent.

The Middle East is home to the world’s top performing hotels May 5, 2008 London, May 4, 2008 – Hotels in the Middle East were the top performers during the first quarter of 2008. Analysis by Deloitte shows that the region now has the highest average room rates in the world at US$181, overtaking Europe for the number one spot.
