NEW YORK, December 13, 2007 – Deloitte announced today it has acquired the assets of Xcelicor, Inc., a leading North American Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) systems integrator.  The acquisition increases Deloitte’s Human Capital services capability by more than 90 total employees, including more than 80 consulting professionals. It also reinforces Deloitte’s position as a leading provider of Oracle human capital technology-related consulting services to the market.

As part of the transaction, Laura Garbacz, former COO of Xcelicor, will be a Principal in Deloitte Consulting LLP’s Human Capital’s Human Resource Transformation (HRT) service line. She has more than 20 years of consulting industry experience and brings to Deloitte extensive project management, leadership and client care skills. 

Former Xcelicor CEO, Mark Silverstein will also join Deloitte as a Principal in Deloitte Consulting LLP’s Human Capital’s HRT service line.  With more than 17 years of experience in the business of HCM consulting and a former consultant with Oracle Corporation, his knowledge encompasses everything from system design to project management to client care.  

Bryan Suthard, former President and founder of Xcelicor, will join Deloitte as a Specialist Leader within Human Capital’s HRT service line.  With more than 14 years experience in the HR software industry and a former HCM consultant with Oracle Corporation,  Suthard has significant experience with Oracle Applications implementations, teaching Oracle University courses, and assisting Oracle Development improve its HCM products.

Silverstein and Garbacz will both be based in Deloitte’s Denver office.  Suthard will be based in Deloitte’s Tampa office.
