Deloitte today announced that it has appointed two new partners to its Consulting division.
Peter Bars joins Deloitte from Gartner Australasia where he led the consulting team as Group Vice President Australia and Asia Pacific. Peter has over 20 years’ IT and management consulting experience in Australia, Asia and Europe. He has previously held senior positions at KPMG and Coopers & Lybrand.
Peter joins the CIO Services team providing consulting services to clients in areas such as IT strategic planning, system selection and vendor negotiation.
Stephen Armytage has been promoted to Partner in the Canberra office, having previously been a Director at Deloitte. Stephen will lead and manage the Consulting team in Canberra taking on responsibility for building the practice. His main area of focus will be Deloitte’s clients within the Federal Government but he will also be responsible for clients in the private sector.
Stephen has over 15 years’ IT consulting experience in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the USA. His expertise lies in the provision of consulting services in areas of IT strategic planning, IT architecture, feasibility assessment, business case development and program management.
Prior to joining Deloitte in 2002, Stephen held senior roles at Acxiom, ZIVO and Anderson International.
Commenting on the two appointments, Gerhard Vorster, Managing Partner of Deloitte’s Consulting division, said, "CIO Services and the Public Sector are growth areas for us and we are seeing increased demand for our services. The appointment of both Peter and Stephen further strengthens our consulting team in Australia."
