Athens hosted the annual meeting of the Global Tourism, Leisure & Hospitality (THL) Industry Group. Present at this meeting were Deloitte partners who lead the Tourism, Hospitality & Leisure industry in some 40 countries, including China, India, the USA, Canada, Brazil, Spain, Germany, Italy, Greece, South Africa and the UK.

A lunch reception had been arranged in which leading companies of the Greek Tourism industry – from both the public and private sector – had been invited. Alex Kyriakidis, Global Managing Partner of the Deloitte THL Industry Group, presented the key findings from a jointly published report with the New York University titled “Hospitality 2010: A five-year wake up call”. Keynote speakers of this event were also the Greek Minister of Tourism Development, Mrs. Fani Palli Petralia and the President of the Association of Greek Tourist Enterprises, Mr. Stavros Andreadis.
