Toronto, September 7, 2007 – Imagine the impact of an entire organization working on community projects for one day.  That’s exactly what will be happening today with almost 80% of the people of Deloitte Canada (about 5,900 individuals) involved in 505 projects with 343 community organizations.

Deloitte calls it Impact Day — a firm-wide day of volunteer service, when the people of Deloitte dedicate their time to proactively working on community projects, and supporting the development of the communities in which they work and live.

Deloitte partner and Impact Day leader, Judith Bellehumeur says, “Impact Day is one of the ways Deloitte demonstrates that we care about the communities in which we live and work. Helping others and making an impact is important to all of us. It’s also a lot of fun and gives us the chance to work with people in a whole new way.”
