Jane Lodge, Deloitte’s UK Manufacturing Leader, is one of the UK manufacturing industry’s 50 most influential people according to a survey published by The Manufacturer Magazine. Lodge is one of only two women listed in the ranking, which includes industry leaders, academics, consultants and lobbyists. The ‘Power 50’ was drawn from a shortlist of 150 and Deloitte is the only advisory firm represented on the list.

As part of the industry group, Jane is responsible for growing Deloitte’s manufacturing practice. Throughout her 30 year career at the firm, Jane has worked with some of the world’s major manufacturing companies and her commitment to industry has been widely recognised. In 2001, she was named Midlands Business Woman of the Year and was appointed to the CBI Manufacturing Council in 2005.

Sir Digby Jones who joined Deloitte in October was also included on the list.

In order to compile the list The Manufacturer magazine asked its readers to nominate the individuals who exert a significant positive influence on British manufacturing.  Ken Hurst, editorial director of The Manufacturer, said: “The 50 most influential people in manufacturing is a list of the individuals working to ensure the wellbeing of the industry against a background of real-world global economics. 

These people are at the top of their sphere of influence, and are the driving force behind the latest manufacturing strategy and practice.”
