New research recognises Deloitte’s breadth of services, global reach and single enterprise framework for security, privacy and information risk management.
Deloitte is named a market leader in a new report on the security consulting services marketplace by the globally respected independent researcher, Forrester Research. Forrester concluded that Deloitte member firms established themselves as leaders in the security consulting services market thanks to their “breadth of current offerings and focus on future growth areas.”
The Forrester report titled, Forrester Wave™: Security Consulting Services, Q3 2007, evaluates the relative capabilities and service offerings of leading global providers of security consulting services across a total of 80 criteria. The report states, “Deloitte’s current security offering and market presence took the top spot among all other service providers” and Deloitte has “a mature perspective focused on client value.”
“Evidenced by our recent position as a Leader in Forrester’s June 2007 Risk Consulting Services Wave, and now our recognition as a leader in the Security Consulting Wave, it’s clear the Deloitte risk platform is a leader in delivering client value,” said Simon Owen, partner in charge of Enterprise Risk Services at Deloitte UK.
Forrester specifically recognised Deloitte’s “focus on risk management and privacy and its willingness to invest in R&D activities,” which makes Deloitte “an excellent choice for those looking for technology expertise coupled with sound strategic advice and strong business orientation.”
“Deloitte’s global footprint as a leader in security consulting services is well-documented throughout this report,” said Mike Madison, head of security and privacy at Deloitte UK. “Deloitte have the largest pool of security consultants and a global reach that includes engagements in more than 100 countries. As the report states, Deloitte’s global presence ‘offers clients significant value with relation to both project delivery and domain expertise.’”
The report highlights Deloitte’s client commitment, stating that “Security, privacy, and information risk management services within the company are integrated into a single enterprise framework, with a mature perspective focused on client value.”
Further, Forrester recognised Deloitte’s strong relationship strategy and resource capability noting that "Deloitte has extensive relationships that include services firms, hardware/software, and industry/R&D initiatives.”
“We believe this report reflects our position as an established leader in the marketplace for security consulting services. Our Security & Privacy Services suite of offerings, and their integration into Deloitte’s larger risk management framework, offers our clients a broad range of capabilities to help them address their security and other risk management needs,” said Mike Maddison.
