Deloitte announced today a major new sponsorship of the Victoria and Albert Museum's Leonardo da Vinci: Experience, Experiment and Design exhibition, which will be displayed from 14 September 2006 through to 7 January 2007.

This exhibition provides an unrivalled insight into Leonardo's mind, including 60 superb examples of Leonardo's work from the world's leading collections, some of which have never before been on public display.

John Connolly, Deloitte's Chief Executive and Senior Partner commented, "We're extremely pleased to be in partnership with the V&A in supporting this exciting new exhibition.  The exhibition particularly resonated with us because of Leonardo's lateral thinking and innovative approach to solving problems, which offers an inspiration to both individuals and organisations."

Mark Jones, Director of the V&A commented:  "We are delighted that Deloitte will be sponsoring the Leonardo da Vinci exhibition this autumn. This will be the first time the V&A has worked with Deloitte and we are excited about the partnership."

Drawings and manuscripts will be presented with computer graphics and animations describing Leonardo's thought processes.  There will be large-scale models of his inventions; his flying machine, tank and giant crossbow.  The exhibition is part of Universal Leonardo, a Europe-wide project supported by the Council of Europe and led by Professor Marina Wallace, University of Arts. The curator is Professor Martin Kemp, lecturer in history of art at Oxford University and Director of Research for Universal Leonardo.

This is the first major exhibition of Leonardo da Vinci's work in over a decade in London. The temporary exhibition is expected to be a blockbuster and will bring even more visitors to one of the UK's finest museums from September 2006 to January 2007.
