Deloitte Cork is delighted to announce that all trainee chartered accountants who sat the Professional 3 exam of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland have passed. In addition, Lin Lin Wang, from the north east of China, achieved ninth place in Ireland in the exam.
Lin Lin has lived in Cork for the last 5 years, where she studied Accounting in UCC, achieving first class honours. She joined Deloitte in September 2007 and works in the firm’s audit department, gaining experience in a vast array of industries including the retail, manufacturing and transport industries.
Ger O’Mahoney, Partner-in-Charge of the Region, Deloitte, commented: “We are thrilled that everybody who sat the exam in the Cork office passed. Congratulations to all and especially to Lin Lin on her success in achieving ninth place. She has been a great addition to our audit team where her enthusiasm for learning and her hard work are very much appreciated by the whole team. We look forward to continuing to support her as she goes on to take her final exams and progressing her career with us here at Deloitte.”
Lin Lin has thoroughly embraced life in her adoptive home of Cork. She particularly loves sports and has developed a love for rugby since coming to Ireland. She plays tag rugby with Deloitte in both the spring and summer leagues in addition to playing 5-a-side soccer. She also enjoys travelling and takes full advantage of the fact that living in Cork enables her to visit European cities. Closer to home she likes exploring West Cork at weekends and is certainly not averse to the odd night out with work mates!
Lin Lin is looking forward to completing her accountancy qualification and seeing where it can take her in the world of business.
