Deloitte has today launched its 2007 Fund Administration Survey. The purpose of the survey is to identify what challenges and opportunities exist within the industry in Ireland. Over the coming weeks, Deloitte will survey players in the fund administration industry in order to get an accurate reflection of where the industry now stands.

“There are over 9,000 people working directly in the fund administration business in Ireland, making it the largest employer within the IFSC, said Brian Forrester, Partner, Financial Services, Deloitte.  Those 9,000 people oversee the administration of approximately 1.3 trillion euro in assets, and we believe it is important to take stock, look at the issues, and consider how best to ensure the continued success of the fund administration industry in Ireland."

"Last year’s survey proved particularly insightful and identified a variety of issues that were challenging the industry.  One year on, we are looking to find out whether these issues have been addressed and what new challenges are now facing the industry.  We’re working with all relevant parties in the industry in order to capture as accurate a picture as possible,” concluded Forrester.
