Financial services group boosts investment management offering

Deloitte has today announced that Brian Forrester has joined the firm as Partner within its Financial Services group. In this role, Brian will predominately provide audit and assurance support to clients in the investment management industry, an area in which he has gained extensive experience in London, the Cayman Islands, the Channel Islands and Dublin.

Brian brings 15 years assurance experience with him to the role, the last 12 being in the financial services industry. He joins the firm from Kinetic Partners, a specialist investment management professional services firm, where he was a partner in their audit and assurance team.  Before joining Kinetic Partners, Brian worked in the investment management group of another Big 4 firm.

Brian has a proven track record in the area of risk management, and has worked with a number of fund managers reviewing their internal control processes and their approach to administrator selection and monitoring.  In addition to his experience in delivering audit and assurance services, Brian has extensive experience with transaction support services, in particular with financial due diligence assignments.

Brian began his career in Scotland, where he qualified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland. He also holds an MA in Accounting from the University of Aberdeen.
