For the second time in the award’s three-year history, Deloitte has been recognised as the New Zealand Tax Firm of the Year by the International Tax Review at its Asia Tax Awards. The awards were announced on 27th November during a gala dinner held in Singapore.

Deloitte was also a finalist in the following categories: New Zealand Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year, New Zealand Indirect Tax Firm of the Year, and was the only New Zealand firm considered for the Editors’ Special Tax Contribution Award that sought to recognise “the biggest impact on the practice of tax in the last 12 months” in the Asia-Pacific region.

At a regional level, Deloitte also collected a multitude of other awards as well as the main accolade of "Asia Tax Firm of the Year".

Thomas Pippos, the New Zealand Managing Tax Partner for Deloitte, said he was “delighted” with the outcomes both nationally and regionally.

Awards were presented across 11 countries to leading firms in the categories of transfer pricing, indirect tax, tax controversy and overall tax firm of the year. They mirror similar awards undertaken in Europe and the Americas.
