New York, July 12, 2004 — Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu today announced that Consulting Magazine has recognized Paul Robinson of Deloitte Consulting LLC in Canada and Sandy Shirai of Deloitte Consulting LLP in the United States as two of its "Top 25 Most Influential Consultants" for 2004. Representatives of 14 of the world's leading consulting firms selected Robinson and Shirai from more than 500 nominees. The criterion for selection was based on their superior client service, leadership and integrity.
The Toronto-based Robinson was appointed Global Managing Partner, Consulting for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu immediately following the Deloitte member firms' 2003 decision to retain their respective consulting practices. Robinson was cited by the magazine in part for his skillful direction during that period of reintegration (Read the Consulting Magazine interview).
Under Robinson’s leadership, the Deloitte member firms have retained key practices and put new leadership in place at all levels, positioning the Deloitte member firms at the center of their clients' business portfolios.
In addition, Robinson oversees an evolving strategy that positions the Deloitte member firms and their respective consulting practices as unique players in the marketplace — one that combines the services footprint of some of the world's largest professional services firms with the proven ability to implement solutions that drive value and best serve their clients.
"Being recognized in this way by Consulting Magazine and my peers is a real honor," said Robinson. "I regard it as a team award, recognizing the total passion and achievements of our people."
Sandy Shirai, recently named Managing Director of the San Francisco Bay Area consulting practice of Deloitte Consulting LLP, was selected by Consulting Magazine on the strength of her superior client-service record. She has directed consulting teams that have worked successfully with Hewlett-Packard and MCI, among many other major clients. Shirai is widely regarded in the consulting field for delivering large-scale projects to address complex business challenges.
"This recognition reflects the outstanding work that all of my colleagues have done in delivering insight and value to our clients," said Shirai. "I am honored and thank my peers as well as Consulting Magazine for including me on this list of distinguished professionals."
Robinson and Shirai will be profiled in Consulting Magazine’s July/August issue.
