New York, July 18, 2007 – Deloitte is named a market leader in a new report on the risk consulting services marketplace, according to the globally respected independent researcher, Forrester Research. Forrester found that Deloitte member firms provide the "most complete range of services" and "received the highest overall scores compared with the other providers evaluated, demonstrating strength in thought leadership, service offerings and ongoing strategy."

The Forrester report, titled, Forrester Wave™: Risk Consulting Services, Q2 2007, evaluates the relative capabilities and service offerings of leading global providers of risk consulting services across a total of 80 criteria in four separate 'Waves' (End-To-End Risk Consulting Services; Enterprise Risk Strategy; Risk Organization And Process Design; Risk Technology Development And Systems Integration). The report states, "Deloitte's approach to risk consulting engagements focuses on risk management's crucial role in creating and protecting business value." Deloitte also "stood out in its holistic approach" as well as offering "a comprehensive range of risk management competencies."

"This comparative evaluation is the first-ever, end-to-end risk consulting assessment, analyzing global organizations from a global perspective. We’re extremely pleased that Forrester recognizes our view that risk and value are inseparable and that our risk intelligence approach can help clients globally navigate the treacherous shoals of business," said Mark Layton, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu’s Global Leader of Enterprise Risk Services.

Forrester specifically recognized Deloitte's emphasis on a "'Risk Intelligence' framework for driving enterprise-wide communication and action," noting "overall companies requiring large-scale, end-to-end risk management programs and alignment of risk management with business value throughout the enterprise should consider Deloitte a leading option."

The report highlights Deloitte's comprehensive range of risk management competencies, stating that "Deloitte teams are well-established in governance, strategy, and operations and internal audit practices and use this experience to assist senior executives and boards with the creation of enterprise risk strategies."

Further, Forrester recognized Deloitte's future vision and strong market strategy noting that "Deloitte has and will continue to heavily invest in its risk consulting business."
