Baucus, Grassley Introduce Tax Extenders Package – Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., and ranking Republican Charles Grassley of Iowa unveiled legislation that would provide an individual alternative minimum tax patch for 2008 and extend through 2009 the research and experimentation credit, the renewable electricity and refined coal production credit, the deduction for state and local sales taxes and a host of other tax provisions that expired at the end of last year or are scheduled to expire at the end of this year.
