Alex has more than 30 years experience within the tourism, hospitality and leisure industry and more recently has become managing partner for our real estate industry sector. Alex has advised many prominent real estate owners of hospitality and leisure assets and companies on strategy, M&A transactions, business transformation, operational efficiency and business development.

Alex’s strengths include an in-depth understanding of the trends that impact the performance of these industries, allowing our clients to make informed decisions to maximise their opportunities.

• Lead Client Service partner for a number of major hospitality companies in Europe and world-wide, including InterContinental Hotels Group, Hilton International, LeMeridien and Shangri-La.
• Led the work on the privatisation of the casino gaming industry in Greece and on major investigative assignments for the European casino gaming industry.
• Led global teams on major M&A transactions the acquisition of InterContinental (IHG) and Le Meridien and the sale/manage-back of real-estate portfolios including the sale/manage-back of £1.1 billion of UK assets by IHG.
• Led global teams in the pursuit of a pan European hospitality real-estate portfolio for a major Private Equity client.
• Advised several governments on tourism and casino licensing strategy.
