Bimpe has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Lagos. She joined Deloitte in June 2005 as Tax Partner and Head of Tax group with a regional leadership role for the West African region. She is responsible for both individual and corporate tax planning as well as provide services for upstream & downstream petroleum operating and oil service companies, banks, pharmaceuticals, telecommunication, and manufacturing.

Prior to joining Deloitte, she served articles with Akintola Williams & Co, the local affiliate of Deloitte & Touche, from August 1979 to December 1980; Federal Board of Inland Revenue as Board Secretary, Training Officer and Inspector of Taxes from January 1981 to December 1987, and as Tax Manager with Osindero, Oni Lasebikan & Co., the local affiliate of Ernest & Young, from January 1988 to May 1991. In 1991, she started as a Tax Manager in Price Waterhouse and became a Director, responsible for Tax and Legal services in PricewaterhouseCoopers after the global merger of Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand effective 1 July 1998.

Bimpe is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.  She was the First Female and Fifth President of the Chartered Institute of Taxation between 2001-2003.
