James Walton was appointed the Clients & Markets Leader for Deloitte West & Central Africa in December 2007, after serving as C&M Leader for the Czech & Slovak firm and C&M Director for Deloitte Central Europe. He joined Akintola Williams Deloitte from Deloitte Central Europe, where he was based in Deloitte’s Prague office since 2002. Prior to moving to C&M, James was a Tax Manager in the GES service line in Prague and originally in the London office from 1999.

In his role as C&M leader, James drives the firm’s strategies in the areas of business development, marketing and internal & external communications across the West & Central Africa cluster, ensuring that we provide the best quality services to our clients and align Deloitte to meet the challenges and needs of our clients.

James has a Bachelor's Degree in Economic and Political Development from Exeter University (UK) and has just completed an MBA at the University of Pittsburgh.
