Experience
Faris is a partner in the Enterprise Risk Services service line of Deloitte. He specialises in Information Systems Assurance, including all aspects of automation that are required for the IS and non-IS components of internal audit work.
Faris joined Deloitte in 1992 and has worked in Audit and various management consultancy areas within Deloitte NZ and Atlanta. He has more than ten years experience in information systems auditing and governance, and leads teams of professionals to deliver specialist IT audit and project quality assurance services. Faris assists Deloitte’s internal audit clients in managing IT related risks, particularly where clients are undertaking high risk or IT based projects. He also specialises in Data Interrogation and Project Quality Assurance Services where he assists clients to minimise exposure to risks.
Thought Leadership
He is actively involved within the Auckland Chapter of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and contributes to topical lectures and presentations to professional bodies like the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICANZ) and The University of Auckland. He is a registered Mentor of new chartered accountants for ICANZ.
Faris holds the internationally recognised Certified Information Systems Auditor designation and is a member of the Project Management Institute as well as being an active Board Member for ISACA Auckland from 1996 to 2000, where he held various positions.
