Alan is a director in the Sports Business Group with over seven years experience in the sports business industry. He has worked with a wide variety of governing bodies, clubs and other organisations from a broad range of sports. Alan leads the Sports Business Group's horseracing and equestrianism assignments, and has worked with many of racing's key organisations and major racecourses. His work has included the British Horseracing Authority’s flagship report on the Economic Impact of British Racing, financial due diligence in over £300m of racecourse redevelopments including Ascot, Aintree and Cheltenham, and commercial due diligence on the tote. His recent advisory work has included assignments for Ascot racecourse, the British Equestrian Federation, Cardiff City Council, Coventry Arena, Everton FC, the Jockey Club, Lancashire County Cricket Club, Racecourse Holdings Trust. Alan has also worked with a number of Premiership football clubs to assess the financial impact and funding requirements for stadium moves and redevelopments. Alan assists Paul Rawnsley in providing technical and risk management support to all Deloitte UK's sports business audit teams.
