 Douglas J. Carey is a director in the Human Capital practice of Deloitte Consulting LLP. He also serves as the U.S. northeastern lead for total rewards consulting for financial services industry clients. Based in the Stamford, Connecticut, office, Doug has nearly 30 years of experience, which includes working with large multinational clients on all aspects of their human resources (HR) issues with emphasis on global compensation and benefit plans. Doug has worked with many organizations to help set a global strategic framework around which to develop their HR programs and then helped execute the framework and design, finance, implement and evaluate plans to meet their global objectives and local requirements.
Doug has spoken and written on the topic of global total rewards strategy in many forums and is recognized by his clients as a valued strategic resource in helping build and execute global HR strategies. Over the years, he has served many large global organizations in industry and government.
Doug is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, a member of the International Association of Consulting Actuaries and an Enrolled Actuary. He has an A.B. degree from The College of William and Mary.
