Meet Lee Dittmar
Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP

Lee DittmarLee Dittmar is a principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP (Deloitte Consulting) and serves as the national leader of the Enterprise Governance practice and the global leader of the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) practice. Lee has been helping clients brave the storms of the global marketplace for more than 30 years, and he’s seen plenty of changes in the weather. Lee develops and provides consulting services to help his clients in their efforts to address the challenges and opportunities created by increased governance expectations, risk management, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and other compliance requirements. 

Lee is a recognized authority in the areas of governance, risk management, information technology (IT) strategy, and ways companies can improve information quality and performance by aligning IT assets with governance, risk and compliance requirements. Treasury and Risk Management magazine identified Lee as among the 100 most influential people in finance in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Consulting Magazine named him to its list of “The Top 25 Consultants in 2006.”

Lee has nearly 30 years of consulting experience and has helped executives through major change, dealing with new challenges and taking advantage of new opportunities. He has led consulting projects of many types and sizes, for a wide variety of clients in the United States, Canada, Central America and Japan, and he has provided advice and counsel regarding projects in Australia, China, Europe, South Africa and South America.

Lee's consulting career is based on a strong foundation of hands-on management experience in engineering, construction and complex project management. He has served as an expert witness in these areas. Lee is a recognized leader in the consulting industry, with demonstrated capabilities in client service, practice-building, practice management and client-relationship development.

Lee holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Drexel University and a master of business administration degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
