Mark Thompson is a partner for Deloitte Tax LLP in the International Tax group in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has more than 25 years of experience in international tax planning and compliance, including extensive export benefits work. His international experience also includes foreign expansion programs, entity structuring, U.S. foreign tax credit strategic planning, foreign tax planning, U.S. customs and foreign duty reduction planning and transfer pricing.

Mark works extensively with international tax technology, focusing on international tax compliance and quantitative applications, including calculations of foreign earnings and profits; Internal Revenue Code Section 987 gains and losses; repatriation modelling; and related reporting requirements inclusive of eFiling. Mark has responsibility for the International Tax Compliance practice of Deloitte Tax LLP.

Mark earned a bachelor's of science degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
