.jpg) Jon Warshawsky is co-author of Why Business People Speak Like Idiots: A Bullfighter’s Guide (The Free Press, 2005), and a consultant on effective corporate communication and marketing. His work focuses on the psychology of writing, and the introduction of journalism to the workplace. Mr. Warshawsky has been a keynoter and guest speaker for a variety of companies and professional associations worldwide. He won a Clio in 2004 for the Bullfighter anti-jargon software, which was featured on CNN and in the New York Times.
A humorist and journalist (since 2nd grade), Mr. Warshawsky has been a guest on National Public Radio and numerous other radio programs. Why Business People Speak Like Idiots and its “four traps” model have been used in graduate business and communications programs at several major universities.
Prior to joining Deloitte in 1998, Mr. Warshawsky spent seven years with Accenture, where he helped launch the consultancy’s online learning practice. He holds a B.A. in Psychology and M.B.A. in Organizational Design from Miami University of Ohio.
