 John Hung, based in Shanghai, is a senior partner with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu CPA Ltd. As the manufacturing industry practice leader in China, he is responsible for developing the Firms’ capabilities to meet the growing needs of an extensive portfolio of domestic and international clients in the aerospace and defense, automotive, industrial products and services, and process industries sectors. John has more than 20 years of experience serving manufacturing clients, especially in the automotive and chemical sectors. He serves as the lead client service partner for the services provided in China to multinational clients. While he has successfully taken on many roles during his career with Deloitte, John has particularly strong knowledge of liaising and supervising local audits, consolidating accounts for international clients, mergers and acquisitions, financial due diligence, business formations and assisting clients with various risk management issues. Graduating with a civil engineering degree from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1981 and a master of business administration degree from the University of Warwick in 1987, John started with Deloitte in London. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a fellow of The CPA Australia. In 1996, John moved to Shanghai to help develop the China practice.
