 Stacy Janiak is the vice chairman and U.S. Retail leader at Deloitte LLP, a national practice that provides audit, tax, financial advisory and consulting services to retail, wholesale and distribution companies. The national Retail practice consists of more than 800 professionals and is one of the largest sector practices at Deloitte. In her role, Stacy is responsible for managing the practice, leading the development of operating and service initiatives and working with senior management of the organizations’ leading clients. For 16 years, Stacy has been actively involved in major client assignments within the industry, providing audit, internal control, merger and acquisition due diligence and other specialized services to Fortune 500 companies in the retail and distribution sectors. Her duties include consulting with clients and accounting regulatory bodies on the implementation of complex reporting and accounting matters affecting the retail industry. Stacy spearheads initiatives to enhance Deloitte’s position in the marketplace and is frequently quoted in the media about eminence pieces such as the Annual Holiday Survey. In addition, Stacy is very active in professional and community initiatives, including serving as the regional chairperson for the Network of Executive Women (NEW) in the Twin Cities and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Retail Federation, and the Minnesota and Illinois CPA Societies. Stacy received her B.S. in Commerce from DePaul University, and is a former adjunct professor of auditing for her alma mater.
