Heather J. Jurek is a senior manager in the International Tax practice of Deloitte Tax LLP. Based in the Atlanta office, Heather has over 12 years of experience providing tax and general business advice to large and small multinational clients around the world. Heather also has played an integral role in assisting companies to develop a comprehensive approach to Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance in relation to the tax function. Furthermore, she's a specialist on FAS 109, “Accounting for Income Taxes,” and plays a national role in helping various clients and client teams deal with this accounting standard.

Heather also has extensive experience in product development, specifically in the areas of financing strategies and inbound investment into the United States. In addition, she specializes in the operation of international tax treaties and has a deep understanding of choice-of-entity considerations.

Heather obtained a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce from Australian National University. She is also a member of Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
