The user provisioning component is the automation of establishing and maintaining user identities residing in the various systems supporting the business. The user definition required by user provisioning software products is replaced by the identity repository contents, and the enterprise role architecture is used to facilitate the policy definition element.
The benefits of this component are:
-
Increased timeliness of user access fulfillment and maintenance
-
Increased consistency in assignment of access rights
-
Increased timeliness of user access deletion or “deprovisioning”
