Master Data Management
Master data is used to define and classify transactional data and the structure of the business. It is sometimes also referred to as foundational or reference data. Master data sits across operational and analytical systems, classifying information such as an organisation’s customers, the products offered by the business, or where customers and suppliers are situated.

Deloitte is able to help organisations in the implementation of MDM initiatives through our understanding of the MDM market place and the vendors within it; because we remain technology agnostic we are able to objectively recommend the relevant solution to meet the individual client’s needs.

We are also able to deploy existing methodologies and best practices developed during numerous engagements, including the Deloitte master data management framework. This provides an approach to address the common challenges around the management of corporate data and is delivered by experienced consultants who are able to move seamlessly between business and technical stakeholders to maximise the chances of a successful initiative.
