The Directors' Series
Returning this fall - Stay tuned for the 2008/2009 schedule

For the past four years, the Directors’ Series has examined some of the critical issues facing corporate directors. These include a number of capital market reforms, driven by new regulatory developments, reporting requirements and related governance challenges. On the securities regulators’ agenda are the final regulations regarding executive compensation disclosure and new rules for certification of internal control. And then there is the conversion to International Financial Reporting Standards.

The Directors' Series events are held as live satellite broadcasts in locations across the country. They provide Canadian corporate directors with an opportunity to keep up with their learning requirements in a time of frequent change and new demands. Directors walk away with ready-to-use information and tools to help them discharge their responsibilities.

More information will become available over the summer.

Continuing education
For directors who hold the Directors College C.Dir. designation from McMaster University or the ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors, participation in the Deloitte Directors' Series session counts for two hours' credit towards the continuing education requirement.
