Deloitte was delighted once again to be involved with the Water UK City Conference as a partner of their Information and Learning programme. More than 70 people from across the water industry attended the event to hear speakers including Philip Fletcher, Chairman of the Water Services Regulatory Authority, Pamela Taylor, CEO of Water UK, Tony Smith, CEO of the Consumer Council for Water, Doug King, Vice Chairman, Deloitte and other senior executives from the industry.

A diverse range of subjects were debated during the day, with a focus on the challenges facing the water industry in the wake of the last price determination and a view to the next cycle beginning in 2009.

Delegates’ views on these challenges were canvassed through a survey distributed at the conference, the results of which are provided, together with Deloitte’s commentary in our publication Distilled thinking (399KB, PDF).
