ATLANTA, September 27, 2007 — Navicure tops the list of the fastest growing technology companies in Georgia as recognized by Deloitte & Touche LLP at an awards event held September 27 at the Biltmore Ballrooms in Atlanta. Called the “Georgia Deloitte Technology Fast 50,” the annual award program ranks technology companies based in Georgia by revenue growth. “To rank on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50, companies must have phenomenal revenue growth over five years,” said Guy Budinscak, office managing partner for Deloitte’s Atlanta/Birmingham practice. “Navicure has proven to be one of the fast-growth success stories in Georgia and we applaud their dedication to making their vision a reality.” Winners are selected based on percentage revenue growth over five years from 2002 to 2006. To be considered, Deloitte Technology Fast 50 entrants must: have operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2002 and at least $5,000,000 in 2006; be headquartered in Georgia; be a “technology company,” defined as a company that owns proprietary technology or intellectual property that contributes to a significant portion of its operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology. Using other companies' technology in a unique way does not qualify. Subsidiaries and divisions are not eligible, unless they have some public ownership and are separately traded. A full 64 percent of Georgia’s Fast 50 companies are publicly held. Of the 50, a total of 26 companies are categorized as technology firms, 9 are in telecommunications, 6 are biotechnology corporations and 9 serve the media and entertainment sector.
