Necessity breeds opportunity: Helping secure India’s future growth
Remarks by Global CEO Jim Quigley during Deloitte client dinner

Nearly 100 business leaders from India and around the world joined hosts Udayan Sen, CEO and Managing Partner, Deloitte India, and Jim Quigley, Global CEO, Deloitte for a private dinner in New Delhi. In his remarks, Quigley stressed the need to drive innovation in difficult economic times. Although success can be incremental, it can be achieved, noted Quigley, if companies find ways to turn constraints into competitive advantage.

In his speech, Quigley highlighted the recommendations of a recently released Deloitte report, “Necessity breeds opportunity”. Key points included:

  • Design new processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders
  • Create new products and markets
  • Develop new service delivery models
  • Develop metrics to track efficiency-responsiveness opportunities
  • Take constraint-driven innovations global

Quigley also lauded the efforts of Tata Motors in bringing innovative products to market. Read the full text of his remarks in the PDF below.
