Quigley recognized for promoting volunteerism

The Volunteer Center, a Connecticut nonprofit organization, presented Deloitte CEO James H. Quigley with the 2007 Heart of Gold Award for his contribution to building healthy communities by encouraging volunteerism among his employees.

In accepting the award, Mr. Quigley acknowledged the efforts of Deloitte member firm people who volunteer their time through Impact Day as well as other volunteer activities throughout the year. Community involvement, he noted, has become a business imperative that allows Deloitte personnel to grow their abilities and explore creative solutions to problems, applying those experiences to their jobs.
