Deloitte among "Best Workplaces in Canada" for 2007

Deloitte is proud of making the Great Place to Work Institute's list of Canada's 50 Best Workplaces for 2007. This list, published in the April 23, 2007 issue of Canadian Business magazine, is largely based on what matters to employees themselves: a workplace where employees and managers trust each other.

Deloitte's chief strategist and human resources officer Larry Scott points out that "All we have is our people, so we take good care of them. I am also pleased to say we work hard every day to embed a culture of mutual respect, shared values and commitment to each other and to our clients.”

The Great Place to Work model bases two-thirds of its ranking on a Trust Index derived from employee surveys. “Given that our people are our future, it's gratifying to learn that they value us as much as we value them,” concludes Larry Scott.

The Great Place to Work Institute in San Francisco is the management consultancy that created the Trust Index employee survey: the global gold standard for evaluating workplace cultures. Its Great Place to Work Institute Model served as the basis for Fortune magazine's ground-breaking annual list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For in the U.S. since 1998, and is now used in 30 countries.
