12-Step Implementation Process of lean manufacturing
Getting there is half the journey

To get the results you need — whether it's employee empowerment, increased working capital, restructuring, risk reduction or other goals — requires a systematic approach involving all employees and activities in your company.

Our 12-Step Implementation Process provides a comprehensive approach to the reduction of cycle time and initiates a whole new way of doing business in the future. So that once you’ve arrived at your destination, you find new improved processes and increased value throughout the organization.

How it works
Deloitte’s lean specialists take you through every step of the journey. Using the Business Assessment report, we begin with establishing a team that will delegate throughout the organization and take responsibility for planning change and implementing the process.

The mid stages are about developing a rationalization plan with time frames and milestones, achieving management approval and commitment to the plan, and communicating the plan throughout the organization.

Once the program is launched, individuals act on a specific set of improvements with the approval team overseeing all aspects of the process. Regular progress reviews and a quarterly assessment ensure resources and projects can be realigned where necessary.

The Deloitte solution
At Deloitte, our consultants are lean specialists, aligning the concepts, techniques and processes of lean to the strategic goals of your organization for bottom-line results. We believe in building a lasting process — our time and our talent is focused on helping you compete in the years ahead with a totally integrated, internal process that improves productivity, quality, flexibility and the ability to change.
