The finance talent challenge: How leading CFOs are taking charge
Global survey explores how CFOs tap the people side of finance to assume more strategic role

Finance organizations in Canada currently face a chronic talent crunch that is expected to last for decades. “The Finance Talent Challenge,” a global study conducted by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (DTT) and the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), demonstrates how leading chief financial officers (CFOs) are leveraging talent in finance to assume a more strategic role.

The study, which surveyed more than 600 senior finance executives and business leaders representing every major industry and region, reveals a disconnect between where the finance function needs to go and the talent it will need to get there.

The survey below contains the complete research findings and suggests some key strategies around how leading Canadian CFOs can unlock the power of the people dimension of finance.
