Sound judgment and open consultation are hallmarks of the Deloitte culture. Indeed, the ethical behaviour of our people is the very foundation of Deloitte's success. But in today's complex world, what's ethical and the right course of action is not always obvious.

Our Canadian Code of Conduct is a written statement of the behaviour and expectations we have of each other and a guide for making good choices. Our Code incorporates the ethical principles and shared values that are common to all member firms within Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. It reflects our Canadian culture, laws and regulations. And perhaps most important, the Code builds upon our proven ability to support each other in doing the right thing.

The Canadian firm’s Code of Conduct was developed by and for the Canadian firm, with input from a wide range of our own people. It was adopted by our Board of Directors and Management Committee. All levels of leadership are supportive of our Code and are committed to complying with it.

Each and every member of the firm — full, part-time or contract employee, from summer student to partner — is expected to read, understand and comply with the Code.

It is our individual responsibility.
