How do technology, hardware selection and systems architecture affect performance and usability of biometric systems? What other practical issues need t be taken into consideration? A series of case studies have been put together to illustrate how biometric technologies have been deployed in a variety of border control scenarios with very different results and explain the underlying reasons why.
