Considering the volume of data and the technology required to retrieve it, coupled with the new and more complex procedural rules for discovery, the discovery task can be daunting to even the most sophisticated attorneys and their clients. To address these complex problems and uncover key insights about the discovery process, Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP contracted a third party researcher to conduct a survey of attorneys and executives. 

The survey report covers topics such as increases in cost and complexity of discovery requests, effectively responding to discovery requests, litigation hold policies and procedures and the cost of complying with discovery requests.
