The TCG offering evolved from the reoccurring needs of our clients. TCG can manage entire innovation and commercialisation programs for an organisation, or can manage individual and specific projects through a variety of products and services.
We also have a range of services to fit your needs – a way of delivering our value in different forms depending on what fits. Some of our services include:
Real knowledge - building the foundations:
Customer satisfaction review
You never know your customers as well as you think you do or you would like. Whilst often surprised, our clients are always glad to receive this information before they potentially lose customers or try to grow from poor platforms. We provide our client with conclusions and recommendations on how to better meet their customers’ expectations as a result of our review.
State of the market
The State of the Market report brings together into one comprehensive report:
-
the Customer Satisfaction Review
-
a Snapshot Market Assessment
-
a Market Analysis Report.
TCG can provide you with a detailed understanding of your competitive environment in order to facilitate better decision making. We achieve this through directly interacting with and testing the consumer market, while incorporating this feedback with information on broader competitive forces in the industry. We directly relate the results of this research to your organisation and provide an assessment of the likely implications.
Technology assessment
TCG can provide an independent market appraisal of the potential for a new technology, innovation or idea prior to the commitment of capital. Such an assessment will identify whether a market need actually exists for the proposed technology and whether or not it has the potential for other applications, more aligned with the target market.
Issue identification
Managing issues is an essential component of a successful commercialisation project. The Issues Identification report identifies the largest issues confronting the project and ranks them in order of priority with a suggested means of resolution. The report assists the Project Manager to determine where time and resources would best be allocated in order to achieve a successful commercialisation result.

Project management
“TCG conducted a Customer Satisfaction Review for a SME client, who were very surprised to learn that they weren’t quite meeting their customers’ expectations. The implications of this review made the client re-evaluate their business model and service delivery. It gave them a whole new platform for growth' said Paul Talkington, Financial Controller Central Queensland Mining Supplies.
Making it “stick and fit” within what you do – building the framework for tomorrow:
Environment Audit™
The Environment Audit™ aims to increase an organisations’ understanding of their ability to manage the innovation process. The review creates value by delivering a framework to organisations that allows them to understand how to harness and direct existing resources and activities, enhance innovation management, maximise commercialisation success and foster new innovation initiatives.
Opportunity Audit™
The Opportunity Audit™ seeks to find the real genius within an organisation. The report allows management to independently identify innovation and commercialisation opportunities within their organisation that have commercial potential. TCG considers key opportunities from a commercial perspective and recommends a management process for how to progress projects commercially to allow more strategic management of resources.
Insight IPM™
Insight is a proprietary software program that TCG developed to help with the project management of the commercialisation process.
-
web-based application that empowers managers, innovators and staff to manage the commercialisation process from start to finish
-
commercialisation specific processes with general project management principles, in one software system
-
enables organisations to manage the complexity of the commercialisation process for a portfolio of projects
-
facilitates teams to communicate effectively as the project progresses
-
allows project leaders to focus on solving the most important issues impacting the project at a given point.
“TCG showed us that producing something like a gene or test had very little value until it was packaged as a product and that product had a need in the market. TCG helps us identify the market, shape our products and think through and around the issues. Whilst it can be a complex process, it is very logical and good information gives you the chance to be lateral and build commercial demand into projects from the outset, making the process reliable and understandable. The best bit about them is that they stay to make sure it works!" said Rob Lewis, Executive Director, SARDI
