In the last two years an increasing number of Kazakh companies have been considering trading of their shares at global markets as a way of fund-raising. Along with London Stock Exchange, which is one of the attractive platforms for IPO launching, there are stock exchanges in North America, continental Europe and Asia, which can provide companies with large funds. Euronext is one of such stock exchanges.
IPO boom is expected within the next few years, that is why representatives of European stock exchanges try to deaw attention of local companies to the advantages of listing at their platforms.
On 28 March 2007, at Intercontinental Almaty Deloitte had a breakfast session “International Alternative Stock Markets: Euronext” for clients. Speakers at the breakfast session included Aaron Goldstein, Deputy Director of Euronext, with a presentation of Euronext: Gateway to €uro-zone” and Dina Yuldasheva, Director of Financial Advisory services with a presentation “To launch IPO or not?”
