Carry forward
On roll forward from 2006 to 2007, carry forward balances relating to the old case VI categories are amalgamated and shown as the brought forward balances for the GRB.

On the Mathematical reserves schedules (RA/RB etc), the facility to enter the liabilities for the old case VI categories has been retained in case this is useful for administrative purposes. These rows are hidden by default, but can be made to display using a selector positioned after the Permanent health business section. If these rows are displayed and completed, they can be manually linked to the GRB section on this schedule. The rows relating the old Case VI categories do not print.

GRB Case VI computation
The GRB Case VI computation will usually be referenced A3, and follows the format of the Case VI computation in 2006 and prior years. The DTR calculations for GRB are on schedule A3A.

A new schedule, A3C, deals with Case VI losses brought forward from 2006. This schedule calculates the Pension business losses brought forward that are available for offset against GRB profits, and allows the separate tracking of Pension business losses, other old Case VI losses and GRB losses.

Foreign currency assets (FCAs)
There is a new schedule within each fund to allow an analysis of the opening and closing values of such assets, and calculate the net values. These values are used in the revised calculations of the TA 1988 s 432A and 432C fractions. The schedule also shows the income and gains brought into account in respect of FCAs. There is also a schedule summarising the fund level FCA schedules.
