On November 28th, Joël Vanoverschelde and his team received the « Best IT Consultancy Organisation » award at the first ICT Awards, organised by IT One. This prize was awarded in the presence of the guests of honour including the Minister of Communications Jean-Louis Schiltz as well as the founder of Skype Niklas Zennström, in front of an audience of over 240 guests. This acknowledgement was bestowed by the profession as a whole. The votes were cast (primarily the CIOs) by online voting. It recognises our multidisciplinary approach of which IT Consulting is an integral part, clearly distinguishing us from our competitors, Accenture, KPMG, HP, Easi and Apydos.

Furthermore, Deloitte was visible as sponsor of the event’s gala dinner, the first of its kind in Luxembourg. Numerous participants thanked Deloitte for supporting this important initiative within the ICT sector.

This IT One event, a Luxembourg IT gathering, had the following objectives:

• to support the passing on of ICT information and the swapping of best practices
• to give visibility to those playing a key part in technological innovation
• to list companies, professionals and resources
• to encourage networking between the main players within the sector
• to contribute to the promotion of Luxembourg as a favourable place for investing and also attracting additional competencies.
