Two significant business continuity reports have been released recently; the Tripartite Resilience Benchmarking discussion paper and the Pitt report. The Pitt report examined the country's preparedness for floods, and makes a series of recommendations following the floods of 2007.
The Tripartite Authorities have released the results of their Resilience Benchmarking survey, which compare 2008 responses to those in 2005. This coincides with their announcement for a large scale co-ordinated Market Wide Exercise (MWE) in November. This is set to be the next big test of how well financial sector organisations respond and manage their dependency on suppliers and infrastructure providers.
Both the Pitt report and the Resilience Benchmarking discussion paper include recommendations, which are relevant to the success of the MWE.
Our BCR team is capable of assisting clients with the MWE to ensure they are suitably prepared but that they also drive value from participation in the exercise.
